INFORMATION
Ms. Pike is a shareholder in the firm, and spends
the majority of her time
in matters involving Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy as well as
commercial litigation. She is experienced in representing both debtors
and creditors, including creditors committees, trustees, banks, equipment lessors,
landlords and secured and unsecured creditors. In addition, she is
experienced in insurance company liquidation matters.
Ms. Pike is a Panel Trustee for the United States
Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Kentucky
and is a former part-time bankruptcy instructor
at the University of Louisville. She is also a frequent lecturer, and has presented
numerous seminars for the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville,
as well as for professional organizations such as the Kentucky Society
of CPAs and various credit management groups. She currently serves as a
contributing editor for the Commercial Law Journal and Commercial Law Bulletin,
and was former case note editor for the Bankruptcy Insolvency Newsletter of
the Commercial Law League of America. Ms. Pike serves on
the Brandeis Law School Executive Committee (President-Elect 2003). She also
sits on the University of Louisville Alumni Association Executive Committee.
In
addition, she is involved in numerous community organizations and has served
on the School Board at her church.
Ms. Pike graduated magna cum laude from the University
of Louisville with a degree in business and also obtained
her law degree from the University of
Louisville Brandeis School of Law. She is a member of the Louisville Bar Association
Bankruptcy Section (former Chair), the Kentucky Bar Association Bankruptcy
Section, the Commercial Law League of America (elected member of the national
Bankruptcy Executive Council), and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.
She is admitted to practice before the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky,
and the Southern District of Indiana as well as Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals,
and has argued cases which have resulted in published opinions by the Sixth
Circuit Court of Appeals.
