Mr. Saunders is a general practitioner who entered the active practice of law in 1979, and has been with the firm continually since that time. His practice concentrates on litigation support, with substantial experience in appeals. Mr. Saunders has appeared before appellate courts on both the state and federal level, resulting in a number of published opinions and two listings in the American Law Reports Annotated.
Mr. Saunders is active in professional activities, twice serving as past chairman and twice as co-chair of the Appellate Practice Section of the Louisville Bar Association, as well as non-professional activities, including the Louisville Scottish Country Dance Society. He devotes substantial time to the Kentucky Scottish Weekend, a festival celebrating the culture of Scotland. Mr. Saunders has also pursued his interest in learning how to clog, a form of folk dancing that is uniquely American. His other interests include the past, present and future of North American railroading, astronomy, gardening, travel, photography, American history, and natural wonders of the world.
